Dr. Jürgen Bunzel |  | |
Dr. Jürgen Bunzel is Head of the Scientific Library Services
and Information Systems Division at the German Research Foundation (DFG) in Bonn.
He studied economics at the universities of Cologne and Mannheim, completing his
doctorate in economic theory. Until 1982 he served as a lecturer at the University of
Mannheim; thereafter, he completed his traineeship as a librarian. From 1984 to 1986 he
directed the economics library at the University of Frankfurt am Main. In 1987, he
completed a second traineeship in mathematics and information sciences at the University
of Trier. Since 1988 he has been the deputy director of the scientific libraries group
within the German Research Foundation. He has been in his present position since 2000.
