Axel Ermert

Born 1952. Studied Sociology and Information Science in Berlin. Interested in the whole information field, and in the area of "documentation" techniques. 1978-1994 member of the staff of the German Standards Institute DIN (Committees on Library Science/Documentation, and Terminology, and of the corresponding Committees of the International Organisation for Standardization ISO). Lecturer at Universities of Applied Sciences in Berlin. Since 1999 member of the staff of the "Institute for Museum Research - State Museums Berlin - Prussian Heritage", in the area of museum documentation.
One of the two speakers of the Working Group "Standards" of the Special Interest Group "Documentation" in the German Museum Association DMB. Since 2004, member of the Board of ICOM-CIDOC.
